Finding Time to Bullet Journal
Today we are talking about finding time to bullet journal. I find a lot of complaints and/or roadblocks to bullet journaling, and specifically, creative bullet journaling, has to do with time. A lot of people say they don’t have time to do it. While I, unfortunately, do not have a magic wand to create more time (if you do, please reach out ASAP), I do have some ideas for how you can start to find the time to bullet journal. I have shared a video over on YouTube as well that you can check out, where I do flip throughs of all my journals through the years. But otherwise, let’s…

Why I Do Creative Journaling
This post is very personal to me as I’m sharing why I do creative journaling. I have filmed and re-filmed this video countless times, as I’m not used to sharing this much of myself on the internet. Sure, I have shared snippets here and there, but never as a full post. If you would like to hear about it instead, you can check the video here. But below, I share more of my why. A Bit of Backstory My sister initially tried to convince me to bullet journal, but one look at Pinterest and I thought, hell no! And then life took a bit of a turn. I started bullet…

Create Backgrounds with Distress Inks
After so many questions and comments, I thought I would take this opportunity to show you how to create backgrounds with distress inks in a bullet journal or planner. This has long been one of my favourite techniques to use and I have recently started using it again (August 2021 Bullet Journal Setup). There really isn’t much to this technique, rather the real magic lies in how you use it. You can check out my YouTube video here, where I describe the different kinds of Distress Inks, and show you how they work. In this blog post, I am sharing my go-to supplies, some tips and tricks, as well as…

Creative Bullet Journaling through Art Journaling
This is probably one of my more personal posts to date, but I really wanted to share how I started creative bullet journaling through art journaling. Shortly after I started bullet journaling, I soon caught onto creative bullet journaling. Staring in awe at so many amazing artists and journalers, and the magic they were creating on their pages was so inspiring. If you would like to watch the video, you can check that out here, but otherwise, read on. If you throw caution to the wind and create freely in your bullet journal anyway, scroll through the pictures for inspiration. Starting an Art Journal If you want to do creative…

Sewing in a Bullet Journal?!
For this installment of bullet journal dumpster fire, I am sewing in a bullet journal. More specifically, I am using a sewing pen in my bullet journal. (Quick catch-up: once a month, I draw a paper out of my acrylic dumpster desk accessory, and attempt to use that tool/supply in a bullet journal. This is part of a “use what I have” experiment as well.) So 6 months (SIX MONTHS?!), ago, I went through my craft room and made a list of everything I have. Most of these things have been collected over a period of 5-10 years. Whatever I decide I am no longer interested in using, I will…

Glitter in a Bullet Journal
Welcome to the third installment of Use What You Have (UWUH): glitter in your bullet journal edition! There was definitely a deep, resigned sigh that followed when I pulled this out of my dumpster fire. But, I did it! Unlike my last UWUH layout using paper bags, I did not show you how you can use this in an actual weekly spread. No! I will tell you right away, I DO NOT recommend doing this in your actual bullet journal! Lol! But in case you want to… Here is the video for your viewing. I am still cleaning glitter from my workspace if you are wondering. But maybe after Christmas…

The Simplicity of Art Journaling
For the last couple of months, I have been playing with art journaling. I have created a handful of pages and have really enjoyed myself. I used to think I wasn’t artsy enough to do it, but then through a course I did (Wild 30 Creative Planning) and YouTube videos, I realized that it didn’t matter. You just put something on a page that you enjoyed. I wanted to share with you my process of creating an art journal page. I feel it can be so simplistic and you can use whatever you have around the house. Now, to be fair, I have stamp inks so that’s what I use…
